Eigen's Den
Self-portrait

Hi, you have entered my den. Let me introduce myself. My name is Eigen Lenk and I like programming. And playing games. Especially I like programming games, I think it's one of the best creative outlets you could ever have. You can draw, compose music, write the code and best of all, see it all take shape on your screen. It's really exciting. On this site you can try out the games I've made, read about what I'm working on and see all sorts of other terribly interesting things. Without further ado, here are my ...

Fast Food Frenzy

The city of Bunsville has been chosen to hold the next annual year-long 'fiest of food with mediocrity sprinkled all over it'. Hundreds of thousands of visitors are expected to roll trough the city which is excellent news for all kinds of businesses. The mayor saw the excellent opportunity in that and even though food business is the only none-existing business in city, he somehow managed to convince the organization comitee and bring the event there. How he did that is unknown to all but himself. Some talk about the connections to underworld .. who knows!

But that's when he realized the scale of the event and that the city, and indeed himself, is utterly screwed unless someone comes along and makes the restaurant business boom. And there's only one year to do that. *sigh*

Then an idea struck! What if he organized a competition to get the juices flowing. Give all the competitors an even amount of starting funds, some guiding rules and let them loose. The prize would be that the winning company will be the affiliate of the event. The Mayor invited together 4 promising entrepreneurs and gave them a chance to take part. They all agreed. Yes, some regular Joe might start a restaurant as well, no matter what, but a whole chain is what's needed! And to run a chain of retaurant takes lots of incentive and that's where the competition comes in, as a motivator.

Stand back, the Fast Food Frenzy is underway!

In fact, this game is on hold at the moment because I feel my drawing skill does not do this game justice and I want to find a proper artist to do all the backgrounds and other art. I haven't been actively looking for help recently, but I think I will soon. It's a project I really want to finish and make it a good one at that.

A Generic Untitled Multiplayer Shooter

It's a LAN based game I've been working on so that we guys and gals at work could have something to play whenever there's time. It runs both on Windows and Mac and already provides a fair amount of fun play, even though all you can do is run, shoot and buy vehicles to shoot some more. The only game-mode currently implemented is capture the flag. I do plan to add building destruction and automated turret defences, so teams could attack the enemy base and try to destroy it, to keep the enemy from buying tanks and such.

Think of the multiplayer component of Command & Conquer: Renegade, that's the kind of gameplay I'm aiming for. It has been an interesting project so far, learning about the core principles of network programming and so on. It's a really diffent mind-set from a single-player game.

Will I release it to the public? Most likely yes, together with the source-code.

Your support is everything!

First of all, if you take the time to play any of my games, I sincerely thank you. It means a lot to me, you willing to give it a shot and all, because a lot of time and effort has gone into them and it'd be sad if nobody plays them. And that's one way how you can help - if you like the games and think other people would too, spread this website. If you have a blog, you could link it there, or post it on Facebook or tweet about it. Another way you could help support my future game developments, is by donating trough PayPal. Every little helps. Just click the button below.

Take care!
